Split (Bi-Focal/Spring Hinge)

I loved these glasses and ordered more for a spare!  I have had progressive lenses and trifocals but really don't need much strength on the top part.  What I found with the doctor's office type glasses is that the reader part of the glasses is usually so small and so low that it helps very little. The location and size of the reader in the Debspecs "split readers" really helps see for a large area since it is not difficult to use the reader portion of these glasses nor do you have to keep tilting your head. Also there is enough clear section on top that you don't have to take glasses off to see distance.

I ordered these because I wanted a reading lens at the bottom and a clear lens at the top -- so I could just leave them on my face instead of hunting for reading glasses all the time.  However, the entire lens seems to have the reading correction, so I can't leave them on. Disappointed, but not worth paying to return them -- I can always use another pair of readers.  But now I have to find another place to get bi-focals. s/n from DebSpecs= customer sent wrong pair. Sent correct ones.

I like the split bi-focal featured here because the split is high enough that I can look nearly straight ahead and still utilize the reader portion.  No major tipping of my head to bring the subject text into view.... merely cast my eyes down slightly and away we go, able to read / view what I wish to see.  When looking forward and slightly upward, I have the ability to see clearly anything distant through the non-mag portion of the lense.  Best thing I've found both for convenience and price.
