Description

Please note these are READING GLASSES, and like all readers, they are not meant to look around the room with. They are designed for close up vision only. Adjust each lens with the simple twist of a knob to suit your reading glass strength. These amazing reading glasses were first created for the developing world, where access to eye-care isn't always possible. It is now available at DebSpecs. *Not intended to replace prescribed correction lenses or examinations by an eye care health professional.
Who can benefit?
  • People with different reading strengths in each eye.
  • People who have different readers for different tasks. Reading, cooking, sewing, stamp collecting, electronic hobby, fixing jewelry, and even reading the computer. Adapt to all your close-up vision needs in one pair of glasses.
  • Ever borrow readers from your spouse, and they're a little off? Turn the knob and make them yours!
  • People who love new & innovative inventions.
How they work:
  • Each eye has an adjustable knob
  • Two lenses slide over each other, adjusting the strength as if you're looking through one lens.
Instructions:
  • Although easy to adjust, it is important to pay attention to a few small details. Keep in mind that these adaptable glasses do take a little more effort than the one-strength only kind.
  • Take knobs out of case, and attach to each side of the glasses.
  • Turn the knobs outward as far as you can.
  • Put the glasses on and push them as far up your nose as you can. They are not the sort of glasses that will work when worn low on the nose.
  • At first, they will probably be too strong. Turn both the dials toward you until they are your general strength
  • Now fine tune each eye
  • Remove the knobs, SAVE KNOBS TO RE-A-JUST and enjoy!
Specs of each package:
  • Spring Hinge
  • 5-3/8" x 1-1/10" fits average to wide faces.
  • 2 detachable knobs.
  • A hard plastic case.
  • A cleaning cloth.
  • Specific instructions.
  • Strength can be adjusted to all the following strengths, and everything in between: + .25, + .50, +100, +125, +150, +175, +200, +225, +250, +275, +300, +325, +350, +375, +400, +425, +450
  • If you want an extra pair of dials when you buy this product, simply select "extra dials" when ordering and you'll be charged $3.50 If you already own this product, and JUST want the dials only, click HERE.
**A portion of the proceeds will go towards donating Eyejuster glasses to projects throughout the developing world. INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO ON HOW TO USE EYEJUSTERS:

Better than presciption
These glasses do something all other glasses can't. You can adjust in real time each eye's lens strength. I have one eye that constantly changes during the day and from day to day. Every pair of prescription glasses I buy are always off a little and change literally from morning to night. I use a lot of different magnifiers that require different viewing distances. Eyejusters work great to get good results. I just bought another pair. I would not be without them.

best product in my opinion
They are not as ugly as I thought they might be. The usefulness of them way out performs any lack of looks.
I love the red color and the adjustable tabs that rest on the nose. I have one side of my face at a slightly differet level from the othe. Now I can see much better. The ability to adjust each lense a hairs breadth from the other is great. I will not be wearing these out anytime, but I do use them all the time at home.

Eyejusters
From DebSpecs: Reviewer may not understand, ALL reading glasses have a set focal point. You can only focus in on a certain distance. Other distances require completely different readers. The BENEFIT of the Eyejusters is that you CAN focus when you look at objects of varying distances.

This review does not reflect on my purchase experience from debspecs.com. The process and delivery were flawless. 5 stars for that.

This review is for the glasses only.

After reading, researching and contemplating I took the plunge and ordered a pair. These glasses are bulky and are not easy to adjust mainly for the following reason. When you tune them in, they focus only on the subject they are tuned to. A computer screen for example but if you look at another object 3-4 inches closer or farther away, they don't work. You lose the depth of field. I don't think it's possible to make glasses with adjustments that will have a range of depth of field in additon to vision magnitude (mine is +3.25).

I guess, they'll go into storage, maybe I'll be able to use them one day. For now, Walmart, here I come again for a +3.25 single lens pair.

Do yourself a favor. If possible, test these glasses before buying them.

EyeJusters.
Although they started working rather well, small amounts of vibration started causing the adjusting screws to back out. Frequent adjustments quickly wore out the threads completely. A smoother threaded screw with more threads per inch combined with an internal tool interface, like an allen wrench perhaps, would work better. The magnetic attachment could still work. This would allow having the internal plastic thread to be much longer. The domed tip on the screw applies too much side thrust to the few threads, An stepped tip would both hold the lenses together as well as apply straight thrust to positioning them. I've tried repairing the threads by recasting them in place, but this hasn't worked very long before failing again. Making the internally threaded piece from some more rugged, abrasion resistant material, perhaps Polyamide, would help greatly too. They are a great idea! I wish they had worked longer.
