This product is much more robust and easier to use than one offered by B&L. In a manufacturing setting, we utilize these to inspect fine welds for potential defects and can get banged up or dropped in the course of the job. These are much more sturdy than the competition and at a lower cost. We are migrating from the old magnifiers to this product as the B&L product fails. For close inspection, we have not found a product better suited than this for handheld operations. Light bulbs can be sourced from other online suppliers at a reasonable price, since not offered here.An option that is not available would be a reticle in the lens to determine size of an object under magnification, which the competiton has.
